While it didn't completely solve the issue the performance is so close to the typecover touchpad that I'm satisfied, and while it sucks that I have to use up a USB type A slot for BT. Update so I did some digging and found the Surface pro 6 uses Bluetooth 4 while the keyboard supports Bluetooth 5, so I disabled the internal Bluetooth and use a usb 5.0 dongle from ASUS. The mouse is literally missing frames of animation, making it look choppy/stuttery. I found that going to "mouse settings" > additional mouse options > Pointer Options tab > ticking the "Enhance pointer precision" makes it alot more usable.Īnd do note, its not lag, the mouse doesn't lag, lag isn't the right word. It comes back like 1-2 seconds later, but still rather annoying. The cursor has completely stopped moving on me like twice in 1 day. The mouse looks like its animating at like half the frame rate, which makes me think the polling rate is very low. it physically feels great (again, build quality is very good) but the connection to the computer causes a crap experience. I just got mine today, and the build quality is great, typing is great, but the trackpad sucks.
